IX INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE CONSERVATION OF THE EASTERN IMPERIAL EAGLE

Russian Raptor Research and Conservation Network (RRRCN), Biodiversity Research and Conservation Center Community Trust (BRCC, Kazakhstan), Nature And Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU, Germany) and MME/Birdlife Hungary organize the IX International Conference on the Conservation of the Eastern Imperial Eagle (Aquila heliaca) as a satellite event of the “Eagles of the Palearctic: Study and Conservation” Third International Scientific and Practical Conference in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 25–29 September 2023. The International Eastern Imperial Eagle Working Group organize such conferences in every five years and the last conference was held in Altai Republic of Russia in 2018. The main aim of the conference is to update the global status of the threatened Eastern Imperial Eagles, therefore the organizers invite presenters to summarize the status of national or regional populations between 2019 and 2023. Besides, focused research topics are also welcomed, such as studies on dispersal (satellite tracking, ringing), diet, population dynamics, genetics, threats or the efficiency of conservation activities.
