ACBK Executive Director honored with prestigious international biodiversity award

Executive Director of the NGO "Kazakhstan Association for Biodiversity Conservation" (ACBK) Vera Voronova was awarded the MIDORI International Prize for achievements in biodiversity conservation.
Thanks to such initiatives as the reintroduction of rare animal species, the protection of saiga migration routes, and the expansion of the network of protected areas, the ASBK continues to strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the international environmental arena. This award is not only a well—deserved recognition for Vera Voronova and her team, but also an important step to draw attention to environmental projects in the republic and motivate new initiatives and efforts.
